"What's your vision for a Multicultural Australia?"

At FECCA, we believe that Australia’s future lies in the strength of its diversity. A truly inclusive society values and celebrates the contributions of all its people, regardless of their background. To continue building this vision, we need to hear from you.

 

We invite every Australian, from all walks of life, to participate in this national conversation. By sharing your thoughts, you contribute to a collective vision of a multicultural Australia—one that embraces our differences and unites us in our common humanity.

 

In a short 10-20 second video, we ask you to answer a simple but powerful question:

"What's your vision for a Multicultural Australia?"
 

Your voice matters. By sharing your vision, you’ll contribute to a narrative that will be showcased at the FECCA 2024 Conference, a significant event in shaping the future of multicultural policies in Australia. Additionally, your video may be shared across our communication channels, amplifying your message to connect with communities nationwide.
 

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

  1. Record a video answering the question: "What's your vision for a Multicultural Australia?" Keep your video between 10-20 seconds.

  2. Name your video file FULL NAME_VIDEO. 

  3. If you are recording in a language other than English, please provide a transcript and name the file, FULL NAME_TRANSCRIPT. 

  4. Submit your video (and transcript) through Dropbox.

GUIDELINES

STEP 1:

  • Find someone to film you with your Apple or Android Phone.

  • Do not film in selfie mode

​

STEP 2:

  • Stand with your face towards the light source, not with your back towards it.

​

STEP 3:

  • Make sure your phone is in landscape mode (phone turned sideways).

​​​​

STEP 4:

  • Frame the person so that you have a little room above the head and from about the middle of the torso.

  • Make sure the camera is at the person's eye line.

STEP 5:​

  • Try and find a place that is as quiet as possible and shoot on the highest resolution the phone can use.

  • 4K settings are optimal and preferred.

STEP 6:

  • Don’t forget to have fun and make your message meaningful.

​

STEP 7:

  • Watch what you have just recorded and make sure that the person is in focus and the sound quality is ok.

STEP 8:

  • Upload your video to the link provided above, and you are all done!

By submitting your video, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of all content within the video and have the authority to grant FECCA the rights to use it. You agree that FECCA may use, edit, and distribute your video in connection with the FECCA 2024 Conference and related promotional activities across various media, including but not limited to social media, websites, and print materials.
 

FECCA reserves the right to refuse any entry that is deemed inappropriate, offensive, or unrelated to the purpose of this initiative. Submissions may also be used in advertising and promotional materials by conference sponsors and partners both during and outside of conference dates. By submitting your video, you also acknowledge that your submission does not entitle you to any compensation or ownership rights to any material produced by FECCA or its partners.
 

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected as part of this submission will be handled in accordance with FECCA's Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Your data will only be used for the purpose of this initiative and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
